Sharpie mug II – now, with a (kind of) grown up design ;)

A couple of weeks ago I posted here a simple way to personalize pottery, using a Sharpie, right? Well, today, I’m going to show you the ones I made for our friends Flavia and Luciano to thank them for taking care of my boys (several times in a row) as if they were theirs.

The sharpie mugs are more sophisticated as this time the drawings weren’t inspired on my little artist’s.

For this project, as the drawing filling was bold black, I double baked the pair of mugs to have a better result. After the first 35 minutes, I took them out of the oven, let them cool down, applied another coat of Sharpie and put them back in the oven for 35 more minutes.

Well, I loved them so much that I decided to share with you the result before I give them away :)

Of course that, being them a gift, I had to add some details, to make them even more special. What do you think? ;)
